hen was the last time you watched for shooting stars, hunted for four leaf clovers, slept in the midst of redwood trees, or even hiked to the ocean? Or maybe you love to make tie-dye shirts, cook (and eat!) s’mores, make friendship bracelets and show off your belly flop. No matter what you enjoy, there is a session for you here at St. Dorothy’s Rest. We are dedicated to being a place of rest for all who enter through the Lych Gate. Come join our community as we strive to experience God through the environment, play, in others and ourselves. A bunk awaits you or your child at one of our wonderful sessions of camp!

A.B.C. / Ankle Biters Camp (one parent, one child age 5 to 7)

June 22-24, 2018 (3 days)

Come and enjoy the camp experience with your younger camper. Together, you will experience the beauty and peace of “getting away.” This weekend will include hiking, arts & crafts, chapel, swimming and campfires. Built into the weekend are times to participate in activities with your campers as well as some much-needed parent quiet times for rest and reflection. [RATES: Full – $375, Partially Sponsored – $300/pair]

Russian River Adventures I (8-12)

June 25-July 1, 2018 (7 days)

Fill your week with canoeing on the Russian River, arts & crafts, theater, archery, swimming, hiking and fun-filled chapel times. The week culminates with the Woods-to-Waves 12.5-mile hike to the Pacific Ocean! [RATES: Full – $650, Partially Sponsored – $550]

Mini Camp (6-8 yrs)

June 29-July 1, 2018 (3 days)

Not sure about a whole week but you really want to come to camp? This camp is for you! Mini Camp was designed with our first-time campers in mind. Running concurrently with the Russian Rivers Adventures I camp, young campers will be able to attend camp with older siblings and experience the unique features of camp at St. Dorothy’s. Many mini-campers are ready to spend an entire week with us the following summer. [RATES: Full – $350, Partially Sponsored – $250]

Teen Adventure Week (ages 13-15)

July 2-7, 2018 (6 days)

Adventure Week is truly a unique camp experience that focuses on developing leadership skills, spirituality, worship and community. Campers participate in service projects as well as overnight camping trips. We take camp outside our walls to serve the surrounding community in outreach work. Outreach activities have included working at local soup kitchens, providing meals to the homeless and hungry in the area, and helping local churches with various projects. Backing trips have included overnighting on the Sonoma Coast, Point Reyes, and Angel Island. [RATES: Full – $650, Partially Sponsored – $550]

Russian River Adventures II (ages 8-12)

July 8-13, 2018 (6 days)

Fill your week with canoeing on the Russian River, arts & crafts, theater, archery, swimming, hiking and fun-filled chapel times. The week culminates with the Woods-to-Waves 12.5-mile hike to the Pacific Ocean! [RATES: Full – $600, Partially Sponsored – $500]

Counselor-In-Training Program (ages 15-18)

July 16-21, 2018 (6 days)

Ever wonder what it is like to be a camp counselor at St. Dorothy’s? The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day running of camp, leadership styles, working with youth and peers. At the completion of the CIT program, participants may apply to return as a CIT for Russian River Adventures III/Creative Arts Camp. Attending the CIT program is strongly encouraged if you are interested in serving as a summer camp counselor in future summers but it is not required.  [RATES: Full – $650, Partially Sponsored – $550]

 Russian River III Adventures/Creative Arts Camp (ages 8-12)

July 29-August 4, 2018 (7 days)

Everything you love about Russian River Adventures Week with an emphasis on creative arts! Campers will be invited to self-select an area of focus for the week: Arts, Drama, Music. Parents will be invited to a showcase of the week’s activities on August 5th before pick-up. Fill your week with canoeing on the on the Russian River, arts & crafts, theater, archery, swimming, and fun-filled chapel times. The week culminates with a Woods-to-Waves 12.5-mile hike to the Pacific Ocean! [RATES: Full – $650, Partially Sponsored – $550]

A Note About Our Rates: The FULL rate is the actual cost of hosting the camper at St. Dorothy’s. We ask families that can pay the FULL rate to do so. Our first scholarship tier is reflected in the PARTIALLY SPONSORED rate. No form is needed to receive the Partially Sponsored Rate. Our second scholarship tier is a CAMPERSHIP for families not in a position to pay the PARTIALLY SPONSORED Rate.You may request a CAMPERSHIP by completing and mailing in the camp registration form and a Campership Application will be mailed to you. No child is ever turned away from summer camp for inability to pay.
