When You Give to the Annual Fund, You Make the Following Possible
St. Dorothy’s Hospital Camps
In light of COVID-19, St. Dorothy’s Rest will be providing two weeks of virtual summer camp to children from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and CPMC/UCSF. Traditionally, two weeks of Camp St. Dorothy’s is offered for children with cancer and organ transplants, along with an adult alumni retreat weekend, free of charge to families, is fully supported by donations from individuals. The operating budget is $100,000 annually.
The Campership Fund
St. Dorothy’s policy is never to turn a child away because of his/her inability to pay for camp. You are investing in the life of a child when you donate to camperships. Every year we grant over $40,000 in assistance to families who otherwise could not afford to attend St. Dorothy’s.
General Operating Expenses
St. Dorothy’s Rest has a staff of 3 full-time employees & support staff who work to create a space where guests and campers alike feel welcomed and cared for during their visits. We are stewards of 7 retreat spaces and over 380 acres of redwood forest. There is a never-ending to-do list of repairs and renovations at St. Dot’s. Your support ensures the maintenance of safe facilities and equipment. It also allows us to further our marketing and communications efforts in order to serve more children, adults and groups.
