St. Dorothy’s Rest provides camp and retreat experiences that nurture body, mind, and spirit. We serve children with serious medical conditions, children and families seeking connection in the natural world and inclusive community—through programs rooted in compassion, and radical hospitality.
Fundraising enables St. Dorothy’s Rest to remain accessible to everyone. We invite you to support our efforts to provide the benefits of St. Dorothy’s Rest to individuals who need it most. Notably, 60% of our campers and their families participate in summer camp through scholarship assistance.
Giving Tuesday 2025
St. Dorothy’s Rest is launching a special matching campaign to raise $100,000, made possible by the extraordinary generosity of a longtime St. Dorothy’s family who believes deeply in the healing, rest, and belonging this place offers. Their match doubles every dollar given, expanding access to camperships, strengthening our hospital programs, and helping us care for the sacred redwoods we call home. St. Dorothy's Rest partners with local children's hospitals to provide summer camps for children with organ transplants. We also provide an adult alumni retreat weekend. These are provided free of charge to families because of our generous donors.

The Campership Fund
St. Dorothy's policy is never to turn a child away because of an inability to pay for camp. You are investing in the life of a child when you donate to camperships. Did you know that 60% of our campers attend St. Dorothy's Rest with a campership?

Ongoing Operations
St. Dorothy's Rest has a staff of 4 full-time employees and support staff who work to create a space where guests and campers alike feel welcomed and cared for during their visits. We are stewards of 7 retreat spaces and 58 acres of forested land.
There is a never-ending to-do list of repairs and renovations. Your support ensures the maintenance of safe facilities and equipment. It also allows us to further our outreach so we may serve more people in need of the restful space that St Dorothy's provides.
